Gabrielle Thandiwe Bates (b.2003) is a fine art photographer from Atlanta, GA based in Manhattan, NY. She is currently working towards her Bachelors of Fine Arts at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts with a minor in Africana Studies. Her artistic influence draws from her African American experience and South African (Zulu) heritage. This unique blend of influences enriches her photographs, making them not just images, but powerful narratives of the black experience. Through her lens, she invites the audience to see the world through her eyes, inviting them into a world where beauty, culture, and nature converge. In her free time she engaged with community service and loves to hike with her camera.
